Redmond High School JROTC Drill Team Celebrates Two-State Championship Win

Redmond High School’s JROTC drill team was ranked first place in the 2014 Oregon Washington State Championship for all JROTC units.

This is the third year in a row that Redmond High School has won the two-state championship.  It is the first year that RHS claimed the overall league trophy, which is based on a point matrix of all five events that the unit participated in.

RHS JROTC earned several team awards including:

  • Armed Drill Team – first place
  • Color Guard Team #1 – first place
  • Unarmed Drill team – second place
  • Marksmanship Team – second place
  • Color Guard Team #2 – third place
  • Physical Training team – fourth place

Redmond High School’s JROTC program will be celebrating these team and more individual awards during the Annual JROTC Awards Night on Friday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the RHS commons.
