Ridgeview High School will hold a Veterans Day assembly on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 to pay respect to Central Oregon veterans.
“We are hoping to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 veterans attend the assembly,” Assistant Principal Kathleen Glogau said. “We have a large concentration of veterans in our area and we want them to know that younger generations are grateful for their service.”
Long time newsman Bob Shaw of KTVZ will act as the master of ceremonies. The assembly will highlight the Vietnam War with a video of three veterans who served in the war. The Ridgeview High band and choir have arranged special pieces for the assembly.
Refreshments prepared by Ridgeview’s culinary program will be served. Ridgeview branded t-shirts honoring veterans are available day of the event for $15.
The assembly will run from 9:44 a.m. to 10:23 a.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
